Doctor Ronald Matheney

Rev. Ronald A. Matheney, has been a spiritual leader for over three decades. He has met the needs of thousands of people throughout his life long work as pastor- evangelist- community activist.

Ronald Matheney is a native of Crossett, Arkansas. He is the third son of seven children born to the late Bishop and Mrs. R. E. Matheney. A very young, idealistic and deeply spiritual Ronald was called to the ministry at age 16. He desires to touch the lives of others and make a difference in his community and the world. To this end he began a campus ministry at his high school where he also excelled in athletics. As an athlete in high school Ronald was an outstanding running back who was recruited by almost every major Division I School in the country. He also excelled in track, which included winning the state decathlon while a junior in high school. Ronald’s talents earned him a football scholarship to the University of Arkansas where he had the opportunity to play for Lou Holtz. Ronald started as a freshman. During the three years that Ronald played at the University of Arkansas, before a career ending injury, his team played in major bowl games and earned top 10 rankings.

While at the U of A, Ronald co-founded an interdenominational campus ministry called Christian Center and also traveled all over Arkansas speaking to clubs, banquets, churches, youth conferences and for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes functions.

As a community leader Rev. Matheney is a strong believer in social justice and desires to motivate and empower others to use their gifts in the community for the Kingdom of God. With this as his goal he has developed new home buyers and health programs for low income families, he has worked in soup kitchens, prison ministry, coached children’s sports, instituted voter registration drives, managed a serious offender youth home, helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity, and has served on too many boards and committees to mention.

Rev. Matheney is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey where he obtained a Master of Divinity Degree in May of 2001. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, he holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Sciences from Troy State University with continued education in Hebrew studies at Austin Theological Seminary, Austin, Texas.

Rev. Matheney was initially ordained in the Church of God in Christ denomination. In July of 2005, Rev. Matheney accepted a call to serve as the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Jerome, Idaho. He is the former Pastor of Chapel in the Valley Presbyterian Church, in Swan Valley, Idaho where he served for three years. He is also the former Associate Pastor and Director of Christian Education, visitation and evangelism at First Presbyterian Church of Idaho Falls, Idaho and former Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Jerome, Idaho for nearly seven years.

Rev. Matheney is the founder and pastor of Johnson Memorial Ministries in Camden, Arkansas. The ministry is just over 4 years old growing.

Rev. Matheney is happily married to Helen Johnson Matheney. Together they are the parents of six children, ages 18-32 years of age and Grandparents to two adorable Grand-Daughters.

Missionary Ingrid Stocker

Missionary Ingrid McNair Stocker was born in Fordyce, Arkansas, graduated Salutatorian from J.E. Wallace High School and Cum Laude graduate of A.M. & N. College, which is now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, with a BS degree in Accounting and minor in Business Administration. She had a very successful 28 years career with the Social Security Administration, in Kansas City, Missouri, during which she received several raises and promotions as well as numerous monetary awards. Saved at age 16 she has many years of experience and spiritual growth through prayer, fasting, Bible study, teaching and counseling. While living in Kansas City, Missouri she worked in many areas of ministry including President of the Hostess/Greeters Committee, Deaconess Board, teacher of teenage Sunday School classes, teacher of adult YPWW class, church secretary for 27 years, District Secretary for 13 years, secretary of the State Evangelist Board, a member of the Missionary Board, and nursing home volunteer work ministering to individual patients' natural and spiritual needs one on one.

In September 1999 by God's divine plan, she married Supt. Joe L. Stocker and moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas. They each knew that God had brought them together not only for a beautiful relationship but also to do evangelistic work for him.  She worked faithfully beside her husband, conducting numerous revival crusades, energized by a strong desire to see souls saved and delivered. For 18 years she worked very diligently with her husband in the ministry in the local church, Main Street Church of God in Christ, in the Pine Bluff District No. 1 and even on the jurisdictional level, in Arkansas First Jurisdiction. Her endeavor was to help, assist, encourage and support her husband in the home, the Ministry in the local church, community, District, Jurisdiction and wherever the Lord directed them. For 18 years she has served as the First Lady of the Main Street Church of God in Christ, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, President of the Pine Bluff District No. 1 Minister's Wives Circle, President of the Superintendent's Wives Circle of Arkansas First Jurisdiction and a member of the Jurisdictional Supervisor's Executive Women's Board. She is saved, spirit filled, loves the Lord, the Saints, the Word of God and the ministry. Her life goal is to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord, that her life will be the mirror that reflects the image of Christ, so that someone will see Jesus in her and want to be saved.
